We provide support, information, referrals and advocacy. We assist families in working through problems with any of the public systems that serve children including the mental health system, education, and other state and local child-serving agencies. We also provide workshops and conferences focusing on children's mental health and related services. Our staff is particularly qualified to do this work because each of us:
Since we began our work in 1984, we have helped thousands of parents and other family members. We have worked with countless professionals, administrators and policymakers to make sure that children with emotional and behavioral disorders received the support and services to which they were entitled. PIN's main office is in Philadelphia, and also has offices in Berks, Delaware, Montgomery, Monroe and Warren counties, and has many contacts elsewhere in the state. Our staff members are active on many local, regional and state planning and advisory boards involved in children's issues.
